Planners can help you stay on track and be organized. They are great for checking tasks off of your to do list and help with time management. I have used planners for many years and encourage everyone to add one to your arsenal of productivity. Writing something down can be the edge to get important things done consistently.
Today we will get into the Top 3 Planners I recommend over several I have used over the previous years. These are fantastic planners that can help with goals, tasks, gratitude, time management, inspiration, motivation, happiness, organization, planning, and execution.
All 3 planners offer a slightly different approach for what they offer. Some are based more for goals while others may be geared toward overall well-being and success. All in all, the right planner for you is the one you use daily. Getting into the positive habit of writing, scheduling, and planning within your planner every day is the goal. Productivity will likely increase, you will feel well accomplished and satisfied at the days end.
In this blog I have provided the hyperlinks to the products that I recommend. Feel free to click any of the links to go straight to picking up your next planner!
This is a 1-year undated planner and is the current planner I am using. It is one of the most in depth and overall complex planners I have ever used. By this I mean it’s not tailored well for beginners. If you have never used a planner before and haven’t built up the habit yet, Dailygreatness can be very overwhelming.
There are many versions of Dailygreatness, as far as this post is concerned it is about the Original planner. They also have planners that focus more on areas such as; business, success, and wellness.
There is a lot of information in it regarding how to use it to increase success and happiness. There are pages on forgiveness, goals, values, dreams, my why, my greatness blueprint and much more. There is a ton data to fill in about yourself and your journey at the start and can take a while to get it all written down. This is where some people may feel overwhelmed and have trouble getting started with this planner.
The pages are colorful and provide much needed inspiration and motivation throughout. Inside it includes, daily pages, weekly check-in, monthly calendars and more. The daily pages consist of great questions regarding gratitude, affirmations, and daily tasks. There is space for your daily schedule with times as well as a reminder section, and idea space.
This is one of the best planners I have used to date. I’m going to guess I’ve used almost 10 in total over the past while. If you are just getting started to use a planner I may suggest holding off from buying this one and sticking to a more basic one. Although this is a powerful tool, it can be too much for many people and stop you from gaining the progress you are looking for.
The Panda Planner is # 2 on my list for top planners. I have used a few of these and love how simple yet effective they are. These planners come in a wide range of colours as well as 2 sizes. I’ve used both sizes and it all comes down to personal preference. If you travel a lot and are looking for something compact go for the smaller one. If you want more space to write and get more on paper use the bigger one.
This planner comes with a 1-year undated format. It comes with a great monthly section which includes a monthly overview, habit tracker, goals, and review. It also contains space for drawing, daily pages, weekly reviews, and planning.
The Panda Planner is simple yet offers a lot of bang for your buck. It’s cost effective and has a nice clean layout throughout. It is black and white inside so doesn’t offer as much visual appeal as the Dailygreatness but is still gets the job done. If you want to start doing weekly and monthly reviews this planner is great at keeping you organized and reviewing your progress.
It contains gratitude, a daily review and lots of space for scheduling each day. This is a great all around planner for someone who is looking for something basic to do the job and not overwhelming to use.
The Full Focus Planner comes third in our list. It is created by Michael Hyatt, a great author and motivator. He has written many fantastic books such as – Your Best Year Ever, Living Forward, Free to Focus, and much more. His books are some of the easiest and actionable books I’ve read.
This planner has been devised by him to go along with a lot of his own productivity techniques that he recommends in his books. So if you are into his books and like his style you will most likely get along very well with this planner as well (that’s how I ended up trying it out).
The Full Focus planner is heavily based on Hyatt’s Daily Big 3 tasks, Weekly Big 3 tasks, and goal setting. If you are someone who likes checklists and checking off important tasks each day this is the planner for you. It is the most goal-oriented planner I’ve used that follows his SMARTER goal setting system. If you lack the skills or knowledge on goal setting, I highly recommend you read his book Your Best Year Ever and use his printable sheets to learn more.
This planner is in a 3-month (1 quarter) undated format. It is much smaller than it’s rivals which is unfortunate. He does offer a annual planner subscription on his site where they will automatically send you a planner every 3 months for 1 year. This way you can stay on track and not worry about ordering another one. You get a slight discount on this package rather than purchasing just one at a time.
Unfortunately, this planner is the most expensive of the 3 I have recommended and only in a 3-month format. This was it’s biggest downfall for me. It can be quite expensive and only available to get from his site in the U.S. Which made it even more expensive for me to get and use in Canada.
The outside is remarkably high quality being a hardcover. It has a very premium look and feel to it. If you like his books and want to follow along with his overall style pickup this planner today!
If you have any comments or questions, please leave them below and I’ll do my best to answer them. Using a planner will help you to be more productive and organized. It has helped me for many years to stay on top of my days, weeks, months, and even years. I use them for goal setting, scheduling, completing tasks, and staying on top of my day to day duties. Start using one now.
