Welcome back to the blog! This week we will get into why waking up early is critical to your success. Have you ever finished a day and thought to yourself, wow I feel like I haven't accomplished anything I want to! I’m sure everyone has, I know I have on many occasions. The days seem to fly by at the speed of light. Before you know it days turn into weeks, then months, then years…

At the root of this problem lies 1.  – how you prioritize your time, and 2. – not waking up early enough to take advantage of the quiet hours of the day. Yes, maybe your not a morning person, perhaps you’d rather stay up until 2 a.m. in the morning then wake up at 5 or 6 a.m. If that’s the case then follow this info but at the opposite time of day.

If it’s your first time visiting the blog, welcome! We are thrilled you want to improve your life and grow. We believe it’s important to follow your passion and do what you want in life. Feel free to reach out and ask any questions, we are here to help.

Rise Early

Rising early will give you the peace and quiet you require, deserve, and want. Time seems to pass slower when most others are still fast asleep, which is great for those wanting to get important things done! In the early morning, the streets are empty, the sun hasn’t risen, and is a key time you need to be focusing on your craft. The time before work, is the time to work on yourself. To work on your personal goals, whether that involves your health by exercising, involves your wealth by trading or researching the stock market, or chipping away at your goal to start something of your own.

Yes, there are only 24 hours in a day, I’ve heard the excuse too many times to count – I don’t have time for that. So wait, let me get this straight, you don’t have time to workout because you are super stressed and need to study all day and night because you’ve procrastinated once again?? I’m no genius, but I’m assuming this is the moment to prioritize exercise to promote focus, relieve stress, and release powerful endorphins in your body... Rising even 1 hour earlier each day can give you the time you always seem to be missing. Don’t work on yourself, your goals, or your own life much? Well start. Now.

Robin Sharma a well-respected author who wrote the 5AM Club believes strongly in the power of rising early. So much so that he wrote an entire book about it! Be sure to check it out by following the link above.  He states the early part of the morning is your "power hour" and needs to be taken advantage of by all. What time should you rise? Well, that is totally up to you, your life, schedule, and other factors.

Although, waking up at 6 a.m. or even 5 a.m. may be the right number for you. Many successful actors and busy people wake up at 3 and 4 a.m.! Their schedules are so jam packed, and time is the one thing that is always against them. The only way to achieve all their daily duties, is to start the day much, much earlier than everyone else.

Waking early is a habit like anything else. To master it, you must do it repeatedly, day after day, month after month for it to prevail. Eventually it will be automatic, and your body will be waking up on its own at that time. Many books outline that it takes approximately 66 days to install a new habit.

This means to wake up at 5 a.m. each day you will need to do it for at least 2-months straight before it’s the new norm. Adjusting your sleep patterns will take time and effort. It will be tough to wakeup before everyone else, cold outside of your bed, and pitch black out. This is where mind over matter comes in, you must want it.

Wake Up With Intention

Wake up with intention, what exactly do you want to accomplish by waking up 1 or 2 hours before the day asks of you? Do you want to read, write, plan your day, set your schedule, eat good, or what else? If you wake up with zero intention it will be that much harder to get out of bed. Have a why to wake up, an important reason you want to do something important. Remember, this time is for you. Avoid emails or getting in any work headspace.

This time is allotted to do only things that will help you improve and grow in your life. Not many people are willing to even wake up one-hour earlier to move ahead. So, they stay exactly where they are.

If you want to control your day and start off on a positive note, you want to rise early. If you currently wake up at 7 a.m. make it a goal to wake up at 6:45 a.m. for 2-weeks, then 6:30 a.m. for the next 2-weeks and so on. Making a huge adjustment in one go by waking up one or two hours earlier from your regular wakeup call can be taxing on your body and more difficult to accomplish. This may take trial and error on your part, but well worth the effort!

Well, there you have it, focus on waking up earlier tomorrow morning with intention. It will help you grow and accomplish more in your life each and every day.
