A bucket list is a list of dreams, to-dos, and goals to accomplish before you “kick the bucket” or pass on. Some people may live daily with their bucket list, and others may never have one.
Have you ever seen the movie called The Bucket List? It was released in 2007 with actors Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. They both are terminally ill with cancer and know time is not on their side. They create a bucket list of things they want to do before they die. The movie then shows their epic adventures of experiences, travel, and fun worldwide.
I believe creating a bucket list is essential. I’ve learned long ago that things are not what we will remember but rather experiences. Experiences are the things you will remember for a lifetime until you finally kick the bucket.
My question to you is - do you have a bucket list? You may call this something else; a list of life goals, accomplishments, or dreams. Whatever you call it, it’s crucial to have an idea of some things you would love to do before you’re gone.
Let’s face it; things can change in an instant. Your life can alter for better or worse in a matter of seconds. No one knows what your future holds. This is why you must take action and live it to the fullest daily.
Creating a bucket list will give you a vision of things you would love to accomplish, obtain, and experience. This list aims to let your mind run wild and without limits. Try not to think of how to achieve these tasks, or you may set your sights too low.
Having a bucket list written and close by at all times can act as a good reminder of some of the things you would love to do, see, and become. Having clarity can separate you from the average life and mentality.
There are a ton of different areas you can focus on your bucket list; these could include; travel, career, money, health, fame, etc.
The things you may want to do will differ from person to person, but here are some ideas to get you thinking.
