As we enter 2025, the demands on entrepreneurs to stay energized and productive are higher than ever.
Between navigating AI-driven tools, adapting to shifting markets, and striving for work-life balance, a strong morning routine can be your secret weapon.
Starting your day intentionally can improve focus, boost energy, and set the tone for success.
When preparing for my first fitness show in 2013 (yes, 2013), I would wake up at 4:45 a.m. and start my day—every day—all because I had a bigger goal and vision for what I wanted.
I wanted to win and be a champion. So, while we might not be focused on fitness, habits and routines are still critical to gaining movement.
Here are updated morning routines for entrepreneurs in 2025, designed to optimize your productivity and well-being.
Are you an entrepreneur in Vancouver? We have 2 spots available inside our Mentee community.
Check it out here before they’re gone.
With the rise of AI and our constant connectivity, reaching for your phone first thing in the morning is tempting. (I struggle not to open my phone and check my emails at 6:00 a.m.).
Resist the urge.
Dedicate the first 30 minutes of your day to being completely offline (this is what I really want to commit to this year).
This helps you center yourself before external inputs dictate your thoughts and priorities.
Action Step: Place your phone outside the bedroom or use a dedicated alarm clock to wake up. Spend your first minutes journaling, meditating, or simply sipping coffee mindfully.
Physical activity remains a cornerstone of productivity.
Exercise boosts physical health and improves mental clarity and emotional resilience.
In 2025, technology like virtual trainers and wearable fitness trackers will make it easier than ever to stay consistent.
Gone are the days of skipping breakfast or fueling up on sugary cereals.
Entrepreneurs need energy for long hours and creative problem-solving, and a balanced breakfast can help.
Consider integrating adaptogens or supplements that support focus, such as ashwagandha or L-theanine.
The first hour of your workday can make or break your productivity. Use it to focus on high-priority tasks or set the tone for your day.
While tools like AI personal assistants can streamline your day, they should enhance—not dictate—your routine.
Use tech to reduce decision fatigue and automate repetitive tasks, but don’t let it replace intentional time for creativity and reflection.
Pro Tip: Use apps like Notion or Todoist to plan your day the night before so your morning routine flows seamlessly.
(I use an old-school pen-and-paper planner because I like this best.) I’m currently using the Legend Planner Pro.
Your morning routine isn’t set in stone.
What worked in 2024 might not serve you in 2025. Regularly assess and adjust based on your current goals and energy levels.
And no, your morning routine mustn’t be perfect every day.
However, I have noticed that my schedule, organization, and output increase when I start my morning off on the right foot (waking up early, exercising, and eating right).
